Risk Assesment

I believe the choices I'd made in the magazine were relatively risk-free, however due to the design I'd gone with there are a few risks.

1. The simplicity of the design, the modern theme of the magazine has a few setbacks: starting with the simplicity of it. Due to the magazine having block colours, it's a simplistic design. Although it does stand out, some of the target audience may find it 'boring'.

2. The target audience. Due to the target audience being roughly 11-18 (student age) i believe this could cause some issues in sales. For one it could impact the sales in general as teenagers nowadays get most of their information via social media & even if people outside our target audience were to buy it, people in older generations are slowly starting to use mobile phones & will eventually stop using magazines / newspapers for sources of information. Hence I believe it would be suitable to advertise school magazines online or via their social media, so we have a broader audience.

3. Areas of sale. The magazine can only be appealed or sold within school or Thirsk, so there's a limit to how many people we can advertise this to.
